| The
purpose of Blue Kirk Mission is to follow Jesus Christ,
serving God the Father, through the power of the Holy Spirit.
We are called to live the gospel message of Jesus Christ,
to share the love and power of God to everyone, and to
serve all people - particularly the poor, the weak, the
sick, the wounded and lonely.
We study the Holy Scriptures, to seek nourishment from them. We make Christ and
his redemptive love known, by our words and example, to those among whom we live,
and work and worship. We are to interpret to the Church the needs, concern, and
hopes of the world.
At
all times, our life and teaching are to show Christ's people
that in serving the helpless they are serving Christ himself.
Jesus said that if you ask, you will receive. If you seek, you will find. If
you knock, the door will be opened. We're here to help askers receive and seekers
find. We're here to simply be a glass pane through which the Light of Christ
can shine to illuminate and warm your heart.
Do you feel called by God to be a disciple of Jesus Christ? Do you feel called
to a life of service? We're here to provide a venue for you to live your faith,
to share in the mystery of the Liturgy and with valid Sacraments, to experience
the 'abundant life' while on your journey of faith.
We're here to serve Christ in others - spirit, soul and body.
Blue
Kirk Mission is not about buildings, except to use them
for God's purpose in ministering to people. God does
not dwell in buildings made with hands. He dwells in temples
of the heart. An early theme of Blue Kirk was "Put
a Little Love in YOUR Heart - and make the world a better
place." We
encourage ourselves daily with this mission statement:
Father, fill me with Your Spirit today. Overflow in
my heart. Let me really Love
You today - unselfishly. Let me love my neighbor with
your divine love.
All
contributions to The Mission are fully tax-deductable according
to applicable law. |
